QUALITY ASSURANCE

     Black CARD achieved recognition for the Investors in People Award in 

May 2005. 

 We have also worked with Voluntary Action Sheffield to encourage some of our affiliated organisations to look carefully at developing quality systems to support good practice in delivery of their services and ensure their long term survival. Black Community Forum also attends meetings of the South Yorkshire Quality Consortium.

We have implemented our own quality assurance systems and have also worked with affiliated organisations who have completed Action Plans detailing the areas they will examine and improve, how they intended to make any changes and who would be responsible. The organisations looked at the following quality areas:

Stating Our Purpose:

  Stating clearly, by way of clear objectives, aims and values, the purpose of the organisation.

Managing It All:  

The accountability structure and how the organisation will carry out its responsibilities and duties.

Standards and Values:  

Being clear about their values and the standards they will meet.

Financial Management:  

Having an appropriate financial system that enables the organisation to work effectively.

Planning for Quality:  

Knowing what they are doing and how to do it by way of short, medium and long term plans.

Management:  

Getting the foundation right – the management of the organisation.
